I read somewhere that spiriva can cause jaw pain & severe back pain - like spasms which started happening separately but then started happening together. I have ceased for awhile & have had no jaw or back pain.

I've found it to be very common. Don't be surprised to find 2 or 3 empty capsules in a 30 day supply. The medication is much too expensive for "empties".

I just started using Spiriva 3-4 weeks ago and have had puffy, burning eyes ever since. Also, have gained 1-2 pounds. I'm finally beginning to realize the connection to taking Spiriva. Too bad, since it really does seem to help with breathing.

The content of one capsule is very small. Haven't you heard the vibration during your application? This is a good evidence if the capsules were indeed empty.
