Champix Side Effect Report#1043 Started drug 2008-08-22 stopped 2008-09-23. Nausea, constipation/irregular bowel habits, flatulence, very dry mouth (dehydrated), stomach discomfort, headache, sleep problems, fatigue, fast heartbeat, vision problems. Since stopping have had a mini-stroke (2008-11-28, irregular bowel habits continued and have just been told I have a twisted bowel with extreme blockage which will require surgery soon. Have never had a problem with constipation or diarrhoea in my life before - am 59 y o female. Believe extreme dehydration caused by Champix bought all this on, if it is possible for the bowel to get dehydrated?
