Propofol Side Effects Report #SELF-12216

Female patient reported the following Propofol side effect(s):Headache, extreme drowsiness, unsteady on feet

Have always had Versed administered for procedure. Was told practice had switched to propofol because it was superior with few side effects. It took me 30 minutes to wake up after procedure. Arms and shoulders were stiff and cramped due to poor positioning.
Adverse Event date: Tuesday March 27th 12:00:00 AM
Medication Dosage: Unknown. Nurse anesthetist did not ask for my weight.
Medication Frequency: One time.
Patient Age: 60
Patient Weight: 127
Other medications: None that I was told about.
Diagnosis: Colonoscopy
Pre-existing conditions: No preexisting issues although experience severe nausea when using codeine derivatives.
Hospitalized? No
Life-threatening? No
Disabled? No
Birth Defects? No
Was intervention required to prevent damage? No
Other serious medical events? No
Died? No
