Beano Side Effects Report #SELF-12311

Female patient reported the following Beano side effect(s):I experienced queaziness 20 minutes after taking Beano. Within 45 minutes I was vomiting violently for 4 hours (7 times), had the chills, sweats, and felt like I was going to pass out. Even the next day, was still not feeling quite right (queasiness, gas, etc.) I am positive that it was the Beano as I had a similar event happen about 2 months ago, but thought I had just gotten the flu.

I experienced queaziness 20 minutes after taking Beano. Within 45 minutes I was vomiting violently for 4 hours (7 times), had the chills, sweats, and felt like I was going to pass out. Adverse Event date: Sunday April 15th 12:00:00 AM
Medication Dosage: 3 pills
Medication Frequency: 1 time
Patient Age: 47
Patient Weight: 130
Other medications: Protonix, Zoloft, Doxepin
Diagnosis: I took Beano as I was eating a meal that had beans in it and do not like the gas that I experience. Trust me, I would much rather have gas than what I experienced.

Disabled? No
Birth Defects? No
Was intervention required to prevent damage? No
Other serious medical events? Yes severe nausea, vomiting, chills,sweats, feeling faint
Died? No
