Compazine report #SELF-1262

Female patient reported the following Compazine side effect(s):I went to an Urgent Care Center to be treated for a migraine. I recieved pain medicine for the pain, which made me sleepy. Then the doctor told me they were giving me Phenergan for nausea, which I have had before. About 10 minutes after recieving the injection, I began to feel restless. I found out they gave me Compazine. I was still feeling sleepy from the pain medicine they gave me as well, but at the same time I could not sit still. My mind was calm but my body felt restless and out of control. It was like my mind and body were totally seperate and unrelated to each other. It was the worst feeling ever -- I\'d rather have a migraine. I got home and could not sit still. Mentally I was fine and my headache was gone...yet I could not sit still. My home was EMACULATE the next day because I could not stop moving and cleaned everything, did laundry, anything to keep moving. I was able to sleep, and once I had been sleeping... when I would wake up - I felt like I couldn\'t move my arms and legs. Once I was finally able to make myself move and get up - the restlessness set it again and I felt like I had to keep moving. SO WIERD. Finally after about 24 hours it started wearing off. Between 36 and 48 hours I started to feel normal again. I have felt nothing like it since. I know it was the Compazine.
