Suboxone Side Effects Report #SELF-13007

Female patient reported the following Suboxone side effect(s):I was switched to film from tabs several months ago. Started having tongue problems. White streaks, canker sores, very painful. Used on cheeks and they got raw along with my gums being so sore I could hardly stand to brush my teeth. Doc switched me back to tabs & no more mouth problems. I've been a Suboxone patient since 12/17/07. It is a wonderful drug as far as getting me off percocet. I don't get any discounts with the pills as I did with film, with insurance I'm still paying $154.67 -vs- $45.00 for film with a coupon. Why should I be punished because I'm allergic to something in the film. Pay doc $100.00 cash every 4 weeks. I'm having a hard time making bills and believe me it adds up. I wish that I knew of others that are having severe tongue problems with film. I was scheduled for surgery on my tongue in January 2012 but surgeon canceled b/c it was b ompany has to realize the ingredients are different than pills. There is something in the film that I'm allergic to. Wish I wasn't because I would save a lot of my hard earned money if I could take film. Or if Reckitt would offer help with pills. Thanks for allowing me to speak.

Doctor released me from surgery after I was ready with iv's in --the whole 8 yards. Before surgery hospital test that cost me over 500 dollars after insurance paid the 80%.
