Lipitor for 3 yrs, Crestor for 1 month report #SELF-173
Female patient reported the following Lipitor for 3 yrs, Crestor for 1 month side effect(s):muscle pain in thighs,burning pain in left arm. Both vastly improved when I stopped taking statins. Stiff, painful thighs after taking lipitor 80mg for 2 yrs, cut to 40mg, still painful, cut to 20mg, didn\'t help, so changed to Crestor. One month of Crestor 20mg, my left arm began to ache, then burn for several days, discontinued statins and arm began to improve & continues to.
ache in arm,neck and jaw, appeared to be heart-related. 2 angiograms within a 2mo period. Dr. said, it\'s not your heart. I stopped Crestor and the arm,etc. pain began to calm down. I still have it, but more localized now.
