Tekturna-- 300mg. by mouth daily. I was trying to get off of it by cutting down to 150mg.for a week and then every other day 150 mg. for another week. report #SELF-2311
Male patient reported the following Tekturna-- 300mg. by mouth daily. I was trying to get off of it by cutting down to 150mg.for a week and then every other day 150 mg. for another week. side effect(s):Dizzy, couldn\'t feel legs, gait disturbance, pain in right neck, jaw. tired constantly, heavy weak arms. fever and sweating at night in bed.very twitchy
I was put on Tekturna for resistive hypertension. It didn\'t lower pressures appreciably so they increased to 300mg. Still no real difference. I felt shaky and jittery so I wanted to quit. Dr. suggested tapering off but I had this horrible withdrawl. Am now back on 300mg. symptoms are reduced but still want off the drug!!

Other medications: None. Had previously use Nicardipine in conjunction but discontinued it\'s use 30 days prior.
Diagnosis: Hypertension
Pre-existing conditions: Mild Renal insufficiency. (Creatinine steady for years at 2.0-2.3) Have been on every class and type of BP medication. Terrible side effects and no efficacy for any, even in combinations of four and five together.
