ChloraPrep With Tint report #SELF-2758
Female patient reported the following ChloraPrep With Tint side effect(s):Itching of exposed skin and live-like bumps.
after release from hospital, I noticed an itching on the breast area. Examination showed bumbs, itching along the area tinted blue. I used Cetaphyl Cleansing Lotion on cotton to remove the blue color on the skin. I used Benadryl OTC every 4 hours and the itching and bumps went away.

Dosage: Chlorhexidine gluconate 2%; Isopropyl Alcohol 70% on a pad

Diagnosis: Used as a skin prep for partial mastectomy.
Pre-existing conditions: Allergies: some cosmetic creams give contact dermatitis. I limit my use to Cetaphyl products. Caucasian; very thin, pale, sensitive skin. No pregnancy, no smoking, no alcohol, Diabetis.
