Compazine IV administration report #SELF-2884

Female patient reported the following Compazine IV administration side effect(s):I felt very restless and inability to sit still... after 10 hours felt very groggy and could really move extremities... after an additional 7 hours the restlessness started up again

went to an urgent care because I wanted to find out why I kept vomiting for the past 3 days... The doctor told me I had a stomach virus which could last 3-5 days... I said I took compazine orally and that helped me with the nausea. They gave it to me through an IV, after about 5 minutes, i began to feel restless and about to jump out of my chair! I could not sit still at all. got home after 1 hour, still felt restless... i tried to keep myself busy, after about another hour, I finally fell asleep... When I woke up the following morning, I felt very groggy and could not move my extremities...and when I finally woke up, the restlessness started back up again... I know it was the compazine and not the IV fluids they used to hydrate me that caused the restlessness. I have never felt that way before in my entire life.
