Xyrem, Sodium Oxybate, GHB report #SELF-3017


Female patient reported the following Xyrem, Sodium Oxybate, GHB side effect(s):Anxiety, depression, aversion to food, irritability, agression, panic attacks, tremors, confusion, crying, insomnia, paranoia, autonomic instability. Progressing into acute psychosis, hallucinations, combastitive behaviour, delusional thinking, and suicidal ideation.

I developed physical dependance without conscious knowledge. When I discontinued Xyrem, I experienced GHB withdrawal syndrome, similar to alcohol withdrawal. GHB withdrawal features prolonged psychotic episodes that can last six months or more
