Diagnosis: I am 66 years old and have had rheumatoid arthritis for 36 years. Most of my joints are severly damaged and when I was diagnosed as having osteoporosis my Dr. insisted I have the Reclast infusion(unable to do Fosomax, etc.) because if I fell and broke a hip or something, it could be life threatening.I reluctantly agreed, because, if I didn\'t do it she didn\'t want to continue to see me (for not following her advice). Having the Reclast infusion was a gigantic mistake. I awoke during the night after the infusion and could barely move. The next two days were so painful I couldn\'t even get out of bed, my joints were so swollen. Now, 2 moths later, the pain in my wrists and hands is so bad that driving has become almost impossible. I will NEVER have another infusion.
