NyQuil report #SELF-3401
Female patient reported the following NyQuil side effect(s):Sweating, nausea, rapid heart rate, vomitting, severe long-lasting drowsiness
I had the same reaction the last time I had a cold and took it 9 months beforehand, so I took a half dose. Since I remembered my nose clearing up within 5-15 min. of taking it last time, I took the other half dose after 15 min. when I didn\'t feel better. I thought the first time was due to not eating for the 12 hours I was asleep from the medicine and though my blood sugar was too low. so this time I had food and water ready to eat near my bed and made sure I ate before sleeping. Within 1-2 hours, I had to vomit and was sweating and my heart was racing. I then slept for 10 hours and for the rest of the day (total of 24 hours) I felt \"rum drunk\" - the drowsiness where I felt I\'d never wake up if I went to sleep, but I couldn\'t wake up fully.
