Female patient reported the following Sarted with 40 mgs of Simvuestatin,Dr. said this was equal to 5 mgs of Crestor. More, but not worse symptoms with Crestor...stopped today, against doctors wishes...2008/10/20 side effect(s):Within 12 hours of taking the cholesterol lowering drug Simvuestatin, moderate Tinnitus started and got worse each day along with muscle and breathing problems. Was taken off Simvuestatin the 40 mgs and put on Crestor 5 mgs and there has been no change in Tinnitus. New side effects with Crestor, swelling of feet, ankles, legs, hands and face. Getting up three to four times a night to use bathroom, sever arthritis where none was previously. Doctor keeps telling me just to lower dose! Still no relief of \"any\" symptoms!

Unable to sleep. Unable to eat, food tastes bad now. Swelling of feet, ankles, legs, face and hands. Muscle pain and spasums. Sever arthritis where none was present before taking drug.
