Morphine report #SELF-3971

Female patient reported the following Morphine side effect(s):5ml injected morphine in hospital produced the following symptoms: respiratory depression, became incoherent, felt like I was paralysed in my body, semi-comatose for 3 hrs

As soon as the 5ml injection was given, within seconds I experienced the inability to speak, unable to breathe properly, became semi-comatose. The doctor who was talking to me just said I will see you later and left. No drugs were administered to counteract the effect of the morphine - I was just left in the ward on my own. I was very scared but unable to make myself understood to the nurses. Just hoped I would wake up. Would this be anaphylactic shock induced by morphine?
