Zyrtec - over teh counter report #SELF-4083
Male patient reported the following Zyrtec - over teh counter side effect(s):Severe depression,
My son who does have some general anxieties after an accident 3 years ago, became extrememly depressed and anxious and talked about the need to kill himself, It was COMPLETELY out of character for him. He cried on and off all day telling me he didn\'t know why. The zyrtec magnified his anxieties I called the pediatrian for advice, not realizing it was the Zyrtec and she told me to take him off immediately. She said it is a very rare but REAL side effect. Within a few days of stopping my son was back to normal. Never once did anything like that happen before or again.
