BARIUM SULFATE report #SELF-4200
Female patient reported the following BARIUM SULFATE side effect(s):STRONG PELVIC PAIN, CRAMPS AND HEADACHE
Before defogram, after ingesting 2 containers of barium sulfate I noticed pelvic cramps similar to menstrual cramps. After going home the cramps got worse and I got a headache. My bottom area felt like a hot poker was up inside and my vaginal cannal felt very sore and crampy. I tried to get as much of the contrast out with a douche and an enema. The pain continued for another hour in my bottom but the pelvic cramps became so severe I had to stay in bed for 2 days.
