Spironolactone Fall Reviews

Tue, 09 Nov 2010

I am a female patient from NY, age 33. I am being treated for Hashimoto Thyroiditis with Synthroid and Cytomel. I was concerned that after 11 years since my diagnosis, my hair is still Falling out at an alarming rate. My doctor noticed that my testosterone levels were a bit high and decided to treat me with Spironolactone (50 MG). I noticed no difference in the amount of hair loss but have been having constant, uncomfortable eye spasms and a breast tenderness as well as breast enlargement. This is just after a little over a month of treatment. I will stop taking Spironolactone as I do not see it as being beneficial to me.

Wed, 18 May 2011
I'm 27 f female from aust, i have been taking Spironolactone for about four months now. I have been prescribed this due to hair loss (thining really quickly) and i have found it to be amazing! My hair has stopped Falling out! the hair i have is so much thicker and healthier... i dont wear a hat anymore and i got a knot in my hair for the first time yesterday.. sounds strange, but i was over the moon about it :) being able to grow my hair again has made me so happy I have had to take regular blood test to keep an eye on my levels.
