Physician from JAPAN reported PROPYLTHIOURACIL problem on Feb 11, 2008. Female patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and was treated with PROPYLTHIOURACIL. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody increased, antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody positive, arthralgia, computerised tomogram abnormal, cough, dyspnoea, haematuria, heart rate increased, . PROPYLTHIOURACIL dosage: 250 MG; PO. During the same period patient was treated with THIAMAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
