Physician from JAPAN reported GLEEVEC problem on June 14, 2007. Male patient, 74 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia, angina pectoris, hypertension, prophylaxis against gastrointestinal ulcer, orthostatic hypotension, hyperuricaemia and was treated with GLEEVEC. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: endoscopy upper gastrointestinal tract, gastric antral vascular ectasia, gastric haemorrhage, gastric mucosal lesion, iron deficiency anaemia, . GLEEVEC dosage: 400 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, BLOPRESS, SIGMART, MUCOSTA, RISUMIC, HERBESSOR R, SALOBEL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
