Consumer or non-health professional from reported MERCAPTOPURINE problem on Sept 11, 2007. Male patient, 32 years of age, was diagnosed with crohn's disease, abdominal pain, systemic antifungal treatment, infection and was treated with MERCAPTOPURINE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: abdominal sepsis, gallbladder necrosis, gastric perforation, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, liver abscess, mucormycosis, multi-organ failure, pneumoperitoneum, . MERCAPTOPURINE dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with INFLIXIMAB, CORTICOSTEROIDS, ABELCET, BROAD. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
