Physician from INDIA reported PREDNISOLONE problem on Oct 29, 2007. Male patient, 31 years of age, was diagnosed with eosinophilia, pain and was treated with PREDNISOLONE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: abdominal pain, gastric lavage abnormal, haematemesis, melaena, multi-organ failure, parasite blood test positive, strongyloidiasis, . PREDNISOLONE dosage: 20 MG /D PO. During the same period patient was treated with RANITIDINE, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient died.

PREDNISOLONE problem was reported by a Physician from INDIA on Oct 29, 2007. Male patient, 20 years of age, was diagnosed with angioedema, eosinophilia and was treated with PREDNISOLONE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: abdominal pain, culture positive, gastric lavage abnormal, multi-organ failure, pleural effusion, pyrexia, strongyloidiasis, . PREDNISOLONE dosage: 25 MG / D PO. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient died.

Consumer or non-health professional from INDIA reported PREDNISOLONE problem on Aug 29, 2007. Male patient, 31 years of age, was diagnosed with eosinophilia and was treated with PREDNISOLONE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: abdominal pain, blood culture positive, gastric lavage abnormal, haematemesis, melaena, multi-organ failure, sepsis, strongyloidiasis, superinfection, . PREDNISOLONE dosage: 20 MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with RANITIDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
