Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN reported LITHIUM CARBONATE problem on Jan 21, 2008. Male patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with mania, schizophrenia and was treated with LITHIUM CARBONATE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: headache, optic nerve disorder, papillitis, papilloedema, pupillary reflex impaired, uveitis, visual disturbance, . LITHIUM CARBONATE dosage: 600 MG. During the same period patient was treated with LITHIUM CARBONATE, VALPROIC ACID, NITRAZEPAM, HALOPERIDOL, LEVOPROMAZINE, PIPERIDINE. Patient recovered.
