Pharmacist from UNITED STATES reported HYDROMORPHONE problem on Sept 04, 2007. Male patient, 43 years of age, was diagnosed with pain and was treated with HYDROMORPHONE. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following problems/side effects: respiratory depression, sedation, weaning failure, . HYDROMORPHONE dosage: 0.25MG Q20MIN; 1HL 0.75MG PCA IV. During the same period patient was treated with ADVAIR DISKUS, PREDNISONE, ALBUTEROL, METOCLOPRAMIDE, HYDROCODONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
