Confusional State, Rhabdomyolysis, Urinary Retention

This case suggests a potential Tryptizol Confusional State side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 68-year-old patient from NL (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): depression,hypercholesterolaemia,pain in extremity and used Tryptizol (dosage: 50 Mg, Tid) starting 2011. Soon after starting Tryptizol the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Confusional State
  • Rhabdomyolysis
  • Urinary Retention
Drugs used concurrently:
  • Crestor (5 Mg, Qd)
  • Tramadol Hydrochloride (50 Mg, Tid)
  • Gemfibrozil (600 Mg, Tid)
  • The patient was hospitalized. Although Tryptizol demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Confusional State, may still occur.

    Adverse event was reported on Feb 10, 2014 by a male taking Tryptizol 10 Mg (Dosage: One Tablet Daily) . Location: ES , 67 years of age, Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Tryptizol side effects: pulmonary embolism, dyspnoea, hypoxia, depressed level of consciousness, sinus tachycardia, syncope, hypotension.
    Associated medications used:
    • Omeprazole (20 Mg, Twice A Day)
    • Alpharadin (1 In 1 Month)
    • Lyrica (One Capsule Twice Daily 50 Mg (25 Mg, 2 In 1 Days))
    • Lorazepam (1 Mg, 1 In 1 Day)
    • Oxycodone Hydrochloride (Unk)
    • Naloxone (naloxone Hydrochloride) (Unk)
    The patient was hospitalized.

    This Urinary Retention problem was reported by a consumer or non-health professional from NL. A 36-year-old female patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): fibromyalgia.On 199708 a consumer started treatment with Tryptizol (dosage: Times Per 1 Df). The following health products were being taken at the same time: NA. When commencing Tryptizol, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Urinary Retention
    Although all health products are carefully tested before they are licensed for use, they carry potential side effect risks. Some side effects, such as Urinary Retention, may become evident only after a product is in use by the general population.

    Fall, Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion, Accidental Overdose

    A case of a 78-year-old female patient (weight: NA) from CH was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: depression,sleep disorder and was treated with Tryptizol (dosage: 1 Df, Tid) starting Mar 30, 2012. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Dalmadorm (90 Mg, 30 Mg Three Units, Hs)
  • Anxiolit (15 Mg, 4 Per 1 Day, Qd)
  • Diovan (160 Mg, Qd)
  • Monuril (3 G, Once)
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Fall
    • Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion
    • Accidental Overdose
    The patient was hospitalized. This opens a possibility that Tryptizol could cause Accidental Overdose and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

    on Mar 21, 2014 a Female from SE , 39 years of age, was diagnosed with and was treated with Tryptizol. Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Tryptizol side effects: alopecia totalis. Tryptizol dosage: 10 Mg, Qd At Night.
