This case suggests a potential Valdoxan Somnolence side effect(s) that can have serious consequences. A 54-year-old patient from FRANCE (weight:NA) was diagnosed with the following health condition(s): NA and used Valdoxan (dosage: 50 Mg, Qd) starting Feb 16, 2012. Soon after starting Valdoxan the patient began experiencing various side effects, including:
  • Somnolence
  • Suicide Attempt
Drugs used concurrently:NA. The patient was hospitalized. Although Valdoxan demonstrated significant improvements in a number of clinically relevant cases, troublesome symptoms, such as Somnolence, may still occur.

Adverse event was reported on Feb 23, 2012 by a male taking Valdoxan (Dosage: 50 Mg, Qd) . Location: FRANCE , 54 years of age, weighting 202.8 lb, Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Valdoxan side effects: somnolence, suicide attempt. The patient was hospitalized.

This Depression problem was reported by a consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE. A 53-year-old patient (weight: NA) was diagnosed with the following medical condition(s): NA.On Aug 18, 2011 a consumer started treatment with Valdoxan (dosage: NA). The following health products were being taken at the same time:
  • Olanzapine (300 Mg, Every 2 Weeks)
  • When commencing Valdoxan, the patient experienced the following unwanted symptoms /side effects:
    • Completed Suicide
    • Depression
    Although all health products are carefully tested before they are licensed for use, they carry potential side effect risks. Some side effects, such as Depression, may become evident only after a product is in use by the general population.

    A case of a 53-year-old female patient (weight: NA) from DENMARK was presented. The patient developed the following symptoms/conditions: NA and was treated with Valdoxan (dosage: 25 Mg, Unk) starting NS. Concurrently used drugs:
  • Sertraline Hydrochloride (100mg, Daily)
  • Abilify (2.5 Mg, Unk)
  • Soon after that, the subject experienced the following of symptoms:
    • Hyperhidrosis
    • Tremor
    • Hypertension
    • Palpitations
    • Restlessness
    • Impulsive Behaviour
    • Cognitive Disorder
    This opens a possibility that Valdoxan could cause Hyperhidrosis and that some female subjects may be more susceptible.

Directly after treatment started, patient experienced the unwanted or unexpected Valdoxan side effects: hyperhidrosis, tremor, hypertension, palpitations, restlessness, impulsive behaviour, cognitive disorder. Valdoxan dosage: 25 Mg, Unk.
