Versed Pain Causes and Reviews

Pain is a signal in your nervous system that something may be wrong. It is an unpleasant feeling, such as a prick, tingle, sting, burn, or ache. Pain may be sharp or dull. It may come and go, or it may be constant. You may feel Pain in one area of your body, such as your back, abdomen, chest, pelvis, or you may feel Pain all over.

Pain can be helpful in diagnosing a problem. If you never felt Pain, you might seriously hurt yourself without knowing it, or you might not realize you have a medical problem that needs treatment.

There are two types of Pain: acute and chronic. Acute Pain usually comes on suddenly, because of a disease, injury, or inflammation. It can often be diagnosed and treated. It usually goes away, though sometimes it can turn into chronic Pain. Chronic Pain lasts for a long time, and can cause severe problems.

Pain is not always curable, but there are many ways to treat it. Treatment depends on the cause and type of Pain. There are drug treatments, including Pain relievers. There are also non-drug treatments, such as acupuncture, physical therapy, and sometimes surgery.

Versed Pain Reviews

Fri, 17 Feb 2012

I am an Diabetic for 50 yrs. I do have good control (5.9 -7.2)
I have had three Pain blocks and was given Versed as an anesthesia.
My blood sugars went very high, just above 500. Usually have readings
between 60-150.
I stayed up all night watching and adjusting insulin(I do have a pump).
Will check with my MD. Just thought it might be helpful to readers.
I was pretty alarmed.  But, Versed helped me with procedure.  Just
had to be aware, check and adjust.
Thanks

I went in for what was supposed to be cortisone injections with shoulder manipulation underanethesia. The doctor looked me in the eyes and promised me he would knock me out completely. He told me he was going to give me Versed which would make me forget the procedure. I told him I did not want to be awake at all during this procedure and he gave me his word. HE LIED! Not only was I awake during the procedure I was fighting them the whole time. I was yelling at them calling them pretty bad names and they just thought I was funny. If they knew I was in so much Pain why didn't they do something about it. Why would they let a patient fight so hard. I thought Versed and twilight sleep you are supposed to be comfortable and Pain free. What a lie. Here's the bad part. I need a knee replacement but thanks to the lies of this doctor I am now scared to death to have the done and probably won't because now the "TRUST" issue is gone. If you cannot trust your doctor I guess You're screwed!

Mon, 25 Jul 2011
I was given Versed twice and both time reacted violently. The first time during a breast lumpectomy they had to restrain me because I kept getting off table and trying to leave OR. The second time was during another procedure and I kept fighting them in the OR and they kept having to give me more but each time I fought them so finally they told me that they couldn't perform the surgery because I wouldn't keep still. I told them I didn't want to put surgery off so I was awake during procedure. They did give me mega Pain meds which helped but I could hear everyone talking and feel tugging/pulling during procedure.
